Cynthia Uchendu

I'm a pretty simple girl. I like staying at home, watching lifestyle videos on YouTube, trying new recipes, doing "diy" projects, doing my hair, working out, and spending time with my friends and family. I especially enjoy having deep intellectual conversations, connecting with people, game nights, worship nights, and more. Any opportunity to gather with like-minded people to play games, laugh, and laugh some more, count me IN!
I'm also very passionate about discipling people in their walk with Jesus. I have a following of over a thousand people on YouTube where I share biblical encouragement, insight, and a part of my life.
My mission is to see people healed from childhood trauma, wounds, and mental health so they can live a fulfilling and holistic life. I hope to do this work through the field of social work by providing therapy for clients and also through biblical teaching and counsel.
"Those who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever." (Psalm 125:1). This scripture was my anchor throughout my graduate school career. I truly believe that through the hour-long commutes, housing accommodation uncertainty, financial aid uncertainty, and countless other worries, my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ made me secure during my MSW program.
I also want to thank my family and friends who stood by me from the very beginning. At times, my friends would be so excited for me to finish as though they were the ones graduating. It was truly heart warming to have gone through these two years knowing they were by my side. And thank you, University of Maryland School of Social Work for your prestige, excellence, and resources.
